In no particular order:
I made a number of these handmade cats in the late 90s. New men's socks, stuffed with fiberfill and then used sewing/craft odds and ends for features. I kept one for a reminder that on rare occasions I can 'do'.Relatives who then lived in Minneapolis (1950s) brought this wooden doorstop to my Grandparents when they visited. It is the only one I have seen like this.
The latest addition not vintage yet. 2026 scarecrow from a local thrift store. I was going to put it on a broomstick. Instead, I put it in this pail and it is on my porch. Postal carrier likes it.
In between. Maybe the 1990s or earlier. Wooden cats with wire whiskers. Again not readily seen.
Happy Halloween. Here's hoping you are recycling and decorating.
Confessions of a true vintage person:
I not only love mismatch dishes but I love partial sets (please do not send any sympathy cards).
