What do you call this?

                                                Aunt Lizzie

My first antique booth was called: Forget Me Not

Since childhood, I have loved these pictures. This one uncommonly seen.

Bachelor Buttons, an old fashioned flower. This is a small dresser scarf with hand painted flowers and lace edge.

I remember when I bought these (at a thrift store), and a friend said, "what are you going to do with those?"

What do you call this? You start out cleaning, sorting, organizing and then you run across some "keepsakes" and all production sort of stops. That was 6+ hours ago. Some people say they save stuff including most gifts. Semantics but I keep rather than save. I keep just for pretty-ness. Every so often, I look at those items, and the whole world stops. No purpose, not going to do anything with them. Other than admire and feel good in the process.

If there wasn't an original Twilight Zone about this, there could have been...

June. Year is Evaporating. Am I doing something each day that has meaning (to me)? Worthwhile?

I am pleased with my gardening. Love flowers but love grey green plants.

Bistro table. Important.

Very loyal yellow rose. 10+ years for me. It was here before I came.

Two seater. Back when I felt comfortable buying on Craigs List.

Vintage dish & scoop; good for gardening tasks.

Not a good photo but I did get to see the Irises at the Getty. Made it all worth it.

Closing thought,

March is Here. I still love Ground Hog Day after all these years. Both the day and the movie. The movie is vintage and classic at this point.

Why don't I get sick of things and redecorate? The plate is up above the door casing as you leave the living room. (maybe made in Germany or USA)

The picture is in the hall enclave above a pink bench. Giving the appearance of being under the plate. These are definitely companion pieces. The picture is much younger.

The two mint tins are two of my favorites and have been in my collection for a long time. Especially fav the one with the pink bow. Tins are great for inside storage.

Do you have any favorites you can't get rid of? Do you redecorate or rearrange your homes?

I do have the tendency to move every 10 years or so. That is when I totally redecorate everything. I think the being comfortable part comes with the vintage part. Not sure.

I have always wanted a parlor. I remember the one at the Fullerton Arboretum. I don't have a room to designate but maybe I can carve out a place somewhere.

Your thoughts for March?
